Get ready to update your digital planners, because LSU’s 2021 football schedule has been set in stone. On Wednesday, the SEC announced its full 2021 football schedule, including a return to a normal eight-game conference schedule accompanied by the usual four non-conference matchups for each school.

LSU’s October will be highlighted by home conference games against Auburn (Oct. 2) and Florida (Oct. 16). The stiffest challenge, of course, will be the road trip to Tuscaloosa to challenge reigning national champion Alabama in the first weekend of November. As has been the norm, LSU and Alabama will each have a bye week leading into what could be a pivotal game in the SEC West as the College Football Playoff race is heating up.

Obviously, schedules should be considered subject to change. After what was witnessed in the 2020 season around the SEC and college football as a whole, modifications to the schedule should not be surprising. But, for now, we’ll simply hope these schedules stay put.

LSU’s season will kick off on the west coast in the first meeting with the UCLA Bruins. LSU will return home for two non-conference matchups with McNeese State and Central Michigan before hoping SEC play with Mississippi State on the road. LSU’s home SEC opener is set for Oct. 2 against Auburn.

LSU will close out the regular season with three home games, including a non-conference matchup with UL-Monroe on Nov. 20.

Kickoff times and television broadcast information will be confirmed at a later date.
